Purple
Trust and faith
Trusting in the Lord and having faith that Jesus saves — so purple had to be the most visible color.
Two words on a truck door became a wristband, and that wristband became a lifeline. A daily reminder to live ready for Jesus, and to never stop fighting for the ones battling addiction.
God is Greater than my Highs and Lows
“Pastor, they say Possibly Today!”
A worker on a mission truck in South America, explaining the two words he high-fived every time he climbed out.
Since the Bible says we can’t know the day, time or place of Jesus’ return, that man wanted to be ready for it every single day. The words reminded him to be the kind of person who wouldn’t be ashamed if Jesus were standing right in front of him.
Jim Leonard heard that story on a daily devotional broadcast, and by the next day he had “Possibly Today” printed and taped inside his own work truck. Co-workers asked what it meant. He told them. Before long most of the people he worked with knew about Possibly Today, and that was only the beginning.
Read how it beganWhen the signs had to come down from the trucks, God kept putting one ad in front of Jim: design your own wristband — show the world what you support. One day he clicked it, and nothing has been the same since.

The breaking of chains
The day Jim was saved, he was told he was there to have his chains broken and be set free. So “Possibly Today” had to be green.
Passion tempered by wisdom
The passion of red is always there, at the top of the world or at our lowest. The wisdom of yellow reminds us to seek the Lord’s advice in all things, good or bad.

Jim showed it to his wife, Kristen, first. Having lived a life of battling abuse, depression, addiction, self-image and shame, she told him what Possibly Today meant to her. Right then, he knew these bands were going to offer hope to a lot of suffering people.

“Possibly Today, Pops!”
Jim’s son Matt lived life at 100mph. He fought a heroin addiction for years, and the birth of his son Noah pushed him to fight even harder. Jim took the wristband off his own wrist and gave it to him, the special one, so Matt could borrow all of his dad’s faith on the hard days.
Matt swore he’d never take it off. Every day for the next four days he hustled over to show it was still on. Five days later, Matt was lost in a car accident. Everything was removed from him except one thing: the wristband.
Reach those who are struggling.
Redeem them with Jesus Christ.
Restore them — not just to where they were before the affliction, but to higher levels.
When you leave home, you can leave your struggles on the mat instead of carrying them with you. When you come back, you can leave them there again before you walk in.
Change starts by re-programming our thoughts to be the thoughts God has of us. He made us in His image. We are His children, and we are wonderfully made.
Every time you walk out the door.
One day may not seem like much. But as believers, we think the day we pay for may be the very day the Lord uses to break someone’s chains of addiction. Matt would have loved this.
